Pre-409A balance

Amounts in your nonqualified deferred compensation account that were deferred and vested before the effective date of Internal Revenue Code Section 409A (January 1, 2005). The amount is therefore administered under what is called a grandfathered plan. Your company or NQDC plan provider may divide your print statement or online presentation to show pre-409A account balances and 409A account balances.
