A document you can request from the IRS that summarizes tax-return information and includes adjusted gross income (AGI) and most other line items from an original tax return as filed, along with any forms and schedules. For example, a Wage and Income Transcript shows data from information returns the IRS receives, such as what appears on Forms W-2, 1098, 1099, and 5498.
