Specified employee

A designation under Section 409A for certain senior and key employees whose compensation is over $230,000 in 2025. Most public companies must annually update their lists of specified employees to take effect April 1 for the following 12 months. Specified employees cannot receive NQDC distributions for six months after the date when they terminate employment.
